We visited Mardi Gras World and it was awesome. We also did the hop on hop off tour. Tour guide on the bus was very pleasant and gave a lot of information about the city. Overall, New Orleans is a very dirty, smelly place. Lots of homeless people camping in tents around the city.

I live here in Louisiana. New Orleans is not really something I look forward to. Too much crime.

New Orleans (5 stars for NOLA) was the best part of this cruise. The other ports were basically shopping stops. The chichen itza excursion from Cozumel was a 3 hour each way trip including a 1 hour ferry ride that causes numerous ppl to throw up. Chichen Itza is a must see but im not fond of seasickness nor being around seasick people.

Highly recommend dining at "The Foundation Room" upstairs from the House of Blues!

The only complaint I had of this was some of the port staff were a little rude and unfriendly. Even had a parking attendant get into an argument with her boss at our car window while we were trying to pay to park!

I love the community of New Orleans! The people were wonderful and the historic architecture had me in awe and wonder! We went on the Swamp Tour, which was great! We learned a lot and is was a neat experience.

Love, Love, Love the eclectic city of New Orleans. If you're a people watcher, this is the city for you. Take advantage of the good food, nice people, and swam tours or alligator farms. They are worth the trip! As for the port itself, parking is a bit of a pain. But once you've parked, they are organized and friendly with food options as you wait to board.
