Mobile is full of fascinating history. People seem friendly and willing to accommodate. They have little shops here and there and I suggest you go to the Carnival Museum and visit the DAR house. You stop off and have lunch sandwich at a the Sandwich shop and get some peanuts from the peanut shop and walk to the park to hand feed the squirls. This town doesn't look like much, but do a little planning and you will find a gem of a city. Go at least three days and take in the history.

The staff was wonderful especially the cruise director Mikey...we saw lots of posts on here about him and he lives up to them...also shout out to LuLu and Mary in the Spa...go see them...my husband and I had a couples message and it was wonderful! The Maitre D' 007 was great...making rounds at dinner to make sure everything was good...the waitstaff was great too...shout out to Rafael, Parasian, and Tida...made dinners great...and a really big shout out to Utima and Ralph..our stewards...they were wonderful...we let Utima know that our son just graduated high school and she wrote a congratulatory note on the mirror and left a tray of chocolate covered strawberries for him...she even gave me a $50 gift card for the spa for my birthday...which isn't until next week...that was a nice surprise...we loved the cruise so much we have already booked our next cruise...bad part is it's not until Nov 2018

Nice downtown area. We stayed the night before the cruise at the Fort Conde Inn. Very quaint historic house converted to hotel. Park and cruise is free for guests. Two blocks from the terminal. Easy walk to and from. Highly recommend!

The port was OK. I won't say I'd sail out of there again, but I also won't say that I wouldn't.
