Did an excursion of famous homes and temples - excursion was a bit of a waste of time as the excursion was only a few minutes from the port- we left the excursion halfway through and did a walk about on our own which was great

You get right off at the port here, great, I didnt do a tour, but did my own thing, went shopping,, they have a hop on hop off bus, (cat) like in Perth Central Area Transit, but the locals only know it as the free bus. Did a lot of shopping here, but I only did the local Georgetown streets, Penang Rd markets.

nothing at the port but a taxi will take you shopping but not very exciting and certainly not the cheapest in Asia

Our tour did not take us to the best places in Penang. To a fish market and then to Little India!! Okay but next time a visit to the coast would be good!

goood to experience a different culture, went on irganised tour but if i had known that the ship would berth so close to centre would have done our own thing

Did not do an excursion - walked out to have a look. Taxi drivers everywhere wanting to take you around the island. Good chance to take some photos of the boat from the Port!
