About Nuku'Alofa, Tonga Islands
The Kingdom of Tonga is the oldest, and last remaining Polynesian monarchy. See the place where Captain Cook landed in 1777, along with the now huge tree that was planted on that occasion. Visit the ancient tombs of Tongan kings. Then view local crafts at the Tongan National Centre.

Nuku'alofa not to much to do if your not whale watching just walked around the streets looking at the peoples homes the people are friendly and helpful
We had little experience here. We flew in late in the evening and had to pay a fee because we entered Tonga by air and planned to leave by ship. We went straight to the flashy new International Dateline Hotel, then left for the ship right after breakfast. I did not feel well enough to go back ashore.
