Spent time riding the cable car to the top, then walking down through the botanic gardens and rose garden. Followed that up with visit to the city museum.

Tourism crew and welcome to Wellington exceptional the guides were so helpful throughout and there are many free tourism sites to visit which was certainly a refreshing change. A must visit is the beautiful Botanical Gardens set in stunning parkland. Catch the cable car and enjoy the wonderful walk back through the gardens and the Lady Norwood rose gardens stunning.

We did an excursion in a bus around the bay to a reception place high on a hill overlooking the sea. They gave us a lovely morning tea and a sheep dog demonstration. well worth the money

We explored on our own and purchased tickets for the hop-on/hop-off bus, toured the botanical gardens and walked around shopping. We had a nice long time in Wellington. Great that the cruise ship provided free transportation from the ship to the city center.
