Weather was bad when we were there, lots of cafes and places to eat, and a nice beach

Beautiful place but the cultural experience was High School graded. Not worth the money.

We did an excursion we arranged with ShipMate. Again a great guide who also drove. Some stops seemed to be just to pass time while part of our group went to the Polynesian spa though she shared a great deal about Tauranga during that time. The lunch was good, too much food though. The Maori village was a treat. Again a very knowledgeable guide with great sense of humor, great show on a stage so everyone could see. Beautiful voices.

We did the HAL excursion Skyline Ride and Luge in Rotorua, very fun. We wanted something different because we have been to Yellowstone and Yosemite.

Love this place so easy to get around, you can do a tour if you like or just a short walk into town, walk around Mt Manganui which takes an hour and a half. The choice is yours.

It was a nice day. The experience we did was not exactly what we expected after having been to Napier earlier.
