Fremantle is great..Freo for short..The streets were camel tracks way back. A lot of culture..Mainly Italians. Most of outer Freo was market gardens. Weekend markets are very good. I live ten mins. From Freo. Please ask if you need some tips

Another WA city with an easy walk straight off the ship and into the centre of Fremantle. Alternatively turn right and walk for 10 minutes to see the small boat marina surrounded by lots of restaurants.

Two towns connected by light rail. Lots to see and do. We particularly enjoyed the guided tour of Freemantle Prison and the old hospital.

We arrived in the afternoon and walked into town stopping in at the stores and church. Later that evening we went on a dinner cruise along Swan River. It was a beautiful sight to see the skyscrapers light up as night fell. On board, we enjoyed a delicious buffet meal with wines from Water's Edge Estate, local beers and soft drinks. There was also live entertainment and dancing. The crew was very friendly and accommodating. The following day we took a panoramic city tour of Fremantle & Perth taking in all the highlights of the two cities. One particular highlight was our stop at the lovely Kings Park - a botanic garden. Be sure to see the State War Memorial.

It’s a long flight from QLD but Michaels Chaffier Service looked after us from airport to hotel and then to the ship the following day

The markets were good. Getting the cruise ship from town was a bit of pain as you have to walk over a very large bridge which is over the train line. Not great for those with walking issues or lots of luggage
