Review summary

An absolutely fantastic cruise! A most relaxing ship that makes you feel at home.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Exceptionally smooth, no doubt helped by just having carry-on luggage, a bonus of travelling from our home State.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate each night in the Rigoletto MDR and were very happy with the table-for-two and the outstanding menu. The Horizon buffet was excellent in variety and quality.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We made use of the well-equipped gym and enjoyed that, plus went along to the art auction but found it was a little less than inspiring.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Probably the best entertainment we have enjoyed up to this point. The stage show, Stardust, was great, the Whitney Houston tribute was exceptional, and the various venues had entertainment that very much appealed to us (the Insight Duo being noteworthy).

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward, Dominick, was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed meeting up with Lohita, a waiter from a previous cruise, and his lovely wife, Sunaputra.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
We love the layout of Sea Princess! The full Promenade deck, the chic yet welcoming decor in the Piazza, the design of the balconies, all add up to a ship that is easy to love. Despite it’s age, it is well-maintained and kept spotlessly clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The balcony stateroom was typically generous in size and layout, and kept very clean by Dominick.

Ports of call

Fremantle (Perth), Australia

5 out of 5
Our home port which we have visited many times has lots of fascinating historical places to visit.

Albany, Australia

5 out of 5
Really enjoyed our day here. The historical museum close to the waterfront was well worth a visit, and a stroll through the city streets was very relaxing.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarkation was very smooth, being off the ship by 8:45 am and ready to catch the train home!

Great review! Table for Two sounds great but when watching people in the MDR, the people at the table for two seem so quiet and sullen where most of the big tables are joking and laughing. I thought it would be awkward but I turned out to really enjoy larger tables.

Sounds like a great trip. Big fan of the table for two, too!
