I was soooooo excited to visit Broome but it disappointed me. It was a LOT smaller than I was led to believe & very few shops except for the touristy ones. The saving grace for Broome is Cable Beach That was magical but not in a hurry to go back here

We were there in November 2026. on a bus tour and enjoyed learning some history of the pearl industry. Visited Guanethume point. wished we'd more time there to see some of the oldest rocks and fossils in the world, on to a Crocodile sanctuary.

Very hot, 32C; 90F. There was a shuttle to the center of town. We walked to Streeters Jetty and saw little red crabs. There were lots of restaurants and stores in the town.

Very nice holiday place. Gateway to the Kimberleys region of Australia. Interesting also for its history of cultured pearls business.
