We docked at Fishermans Island in Brisbane which is a 30 minute ride away from the City centre. Plenty of taxis were available for those cruisers not taking excursions or those not wanting to wait for the shuttles. Last time we came we docked at Brisbane Cruise port which is nicer and it’s more convenient to take the river ferry into the city. Brisbane itself is a very clean city with lots to do and great shopping opportunities.

The ship berths 35 minutes by coach from the centre of Brisbane. We met friends on the south bank of the river which traverses Brisbane. This area is an attraction itself with a sizeable city beach, restaurants, theatres, attractions of all descriptions. Brisbane is an attractive city, beautifully manicured and cared for by the residents.

Ships will dock at either Portside or the Grain Terminal. Portside is better as there are shops, public transport etc. At the Grain Terminal you will have to take a shuttle to the City. City Cat ferry is best way to see city at a reasonable price.

There was a day trip to Surfers Paradise, I took this trip as I wanted to remanise as this is where my husband and I used to go when he was alive, so it was nice to look around, but a lot has changed.

Friends picked us up and we toured and lunched around the Manly Wynnum area. Had a great day. 💖💖💖💖. Saw markets, beaches, cafes and lunched at a fabulous pub

On board the sea princess waiting to sail out of Brisbane. Breakdown has caused a 4 hour delay but all's good. Have plenty of time to eat drink & be merry. Lots happening on board to keep us entertained! LOVE this boat!💞🛳

There are two Ports in Brisbane. The one we stopped at was in the industrial area and is a working Port so you had to get a Shuttle Bus to get out (although we did see Taxis after we were made to purchase our Shuttle Bus tickets). The trip to Brisbane took about 30 minutes. We just went to the South Bank area which you can walk to. It is on the Southern banks of the Brisbane River and is 17 hectares of lush parklands, eateries and swimming/playground areas.
