Not a lot going on at the port itself. Went on an excursion to the Macaw Sanctuary. The birds were beautiful and the guides were well informed and entertaining. This excursion is recommended.

We had visited this port before so we spent most of the day on the ship relaxing.

Yes! Encountered some traffic issues that were clearly outside of their control, but which marred the experience for us nevertheless. The National Museum was lovely and informative and the lunch was excellent. The 4-hour drive back on a back road traveling at a crawl due to bumper to bumper traffic, along a precipitous mountain road in a bus with a non-functioning bathroom was less than ideal!

Customs refused to come aboard to stamp passports and having to sit for more than an hour in a hot and humid room waiting for them to get organized and stamp passports was not an enjoyable experience. They did not even offer an apology to the seniors in wheelchairs or with walkers.

The port was bad. Very dirty. The trip into town originally we had to pay but received a refund. Stood outside the boat for 1/2 hour waiting for the shuttle to take us to the bus. Waited 1 hour in the sun, dust and exhaust from semi trucks for the trip into town. Shopping in town was great. This is where I saw another NCL at the dock. Much better port. Ours was so dirty and dusty and very loud from the shipping equipment.
