The mangrove boat ride was a great with wonderful views of scarlet macaws and crocodiles. The train ride was a little disappointing because the train slipped on tracks that had grass growing and someone had to get out and sand the tracks in front of the train. We almost missed the ship sailing (although they would have waited)

Took a United Cruise excursion. It was one of the best excursions to the hanging bridges. Small bus that went in areas where the large tour buses couldn't go. Also went down the river where our tour guide fed the alligators...UNBELIEVABLE!

I love this country. I felt like I was in little America. We did a tram ride excursion, and the facilities were high quality, the lunch was excellent, english was spoken well, guides were knowledgeable and the transportation was high class. The one thing I was disappointed with was the lack of animal life. They had a small zoo, so that was nice to see, but I can see that in any zoo. Maybe it was my expectations, but I wanted to see more animal life, but all we saw (that wasn't in a cage), were some birds and a couple of lizards. If I had my choice, I would have rather gone on a hike to see some real things. Then, if I wouldn't have seen them, at least I would have known it was because of bad luck and not because they weren't there.

The problem with our visit to Costa Rica is that we didn't have enough time. There are a gazillion things to see and being there for only about 8 hours is hardly enough time. It probably would have been a lot better to scratch Curacao and add the day to Costa Rica

Took train, bus and boat tour. Different from other tours offered, and each type of transportation offered different views.

We did the ship tour A Real Coffee Experience. It was a very informative tour and we learned a lot about how coffee is grown, harvested and packaged. The scenery along the way was awesome. We really enjoyed the tour.

We took a private excursion with only 6 people and had an excellent experience, including a boat ride to see crocodiles, a visit to a site with monkeys, a visit to a recreated Costa Rican town, an attempt to see toucans (none that day), lunch at a local restaurant with excellent local food (and a vegetable plate for the vegan), and an interesting drive to and from while the guide talked about many local topics. It was an excellent tour.

Enjoyed being able to walk off the pier and visit the local area. A bit disappointed with the train tour as I expected a longer and more scenic ride.
