We did the excursion that transits the canal by ferry. It was a very long day, but we got to cross from the Atlantic to the Pacific which was awesome!

After cruising through the new locks we took the tour to Fort Lorenzo. It was nice, but not too exciting! OUr tour guide left us to explore on our own. I would have preferred the guide that walked his group around and talked about everything.

The cruise through the first lock was very interesting. Our mistake was booking an excursion to take a boat through all the locks and go from the Atlantic side to the pacific side. It was a very long journey both on bus and on the rickety old boat they had.
