We tried to book the Embera Village excursion prior to the cruise but it was completely booked. We then found a tour to another Embera village on our own instead. The problem was that the ship indicated that it was going to Cristobal not Colon and we had to make arrangements with the tour as to where to be picked up. We had many conflicting answers both before and after embarkation. We finally decided to guess that it would be Colon

Cristobal has a new and old part of city. Old town is worth the look

This port is a parking lot with a dozen vendors setup under a tent, it is just to pick up people that took an excursion from Gatun Lake. Princess announced that we weren't even allowed off the ship here, but 20 minutes after docking they changed their mind.

Did not see much of this port. Bused into port, took train to Panama City then bused back to Cristobal.

We found the whole "lock" system awesome. We took the additional "Pacific" lock system ferry. agian we highly recommend.

Watching the ship go through the canal was great- we did the ferry tour through all of the canal so we went from the Pacific to the Atlantic in one day!
