Again, this is a mixed rating because the navigation of the Panama Canal was the highlight of our trip, yet the port itself is a waste of time. We were told before hand that it was just a warehouse with an indoor flea market of products from China. We wanted to get off anyway because we had been on the ship for several days without being on land. If you need some souveniers, it might be a good place to pick up some cheap gifts. This could be anywhere in the world since you never step outside so don't feel you are missing anything if you don't make it off the ship.

Not even a port. A flea market set up right as you step off the ship. Also had porta potties. No idea if one could even leave the area, or why you would. This is where we were dropped off after our excursion in Panama.

What a delight to see in technicolor the genius of U.S. engineering put into prospective. Enjoyed seeing the old and new Panama. Unusual seeing a full blown upscaled residence and a war torn obstacle within seconds of each other. The boxed lunch I could have done without it, however, the tour guide knew her material and presented all of the highlights in detail. The contrasts were magnificent and the rewards were great. Can't wait to see the future growth and investment in expanding the Canal.
