Only drove straight to the ship after our tour. The Panama Canal tour to the Pacific side was very crowded. I'm not sure the boat had enough life vests for everyone. A 7 hour tour took 10 hours. Would recommend only if you absolutely have to see the original locks up close.

My husband and I took a taxi and asked to go to a zoo where we can see exotic animals like monkeys and jaguars. The driver took us to a place that did have said monkeys and some birds. But their most “exotic” animal they were so excited to share...was a deer. Something I see nearly every day where I live. It was hilarious!

There isn’t anything at this terminal only cargo. The locals setup about 10 tables to sell custom jewelry and there is a small performance.

There was not much to see, just a tent setup on the pier with a few dancers and vendors.

Take the boat tour that brings you through the entire canal to the Pacific. The best.

We only stopped here to pick up the people that had taken an excursion. We were able to get off & shop at a tent with local souvenirs. Took about 10 minutes.

We returned from our cruise of the Gatun Lakes, & Locks to this town, by bus. So only reboarded our ship, here.
