If you take a tour, this is where you meet your ship. Be prepared for a long line as, in our case, about 1400 people needed to get back on the ship. It actually went pretty fast - maybe a little over an hour. Just find a table, order a drink and sit there and wait until the line shortens.

We were on the same tour as BanjoPickR. If you want see abject poverty, this country is for you. After getting back I talked to my mother (we had lived there when my father was in the US Army during the early 1950's), Colon was in the same condition then. Nothing has changed in all these years. The tour company could have done a better job of organizing the lunch stop. We were very disappointed with this.

Very poor city, nothing to see, sad, my experience with a lot of these places. However my daughter who flew from Costa Rica to Panama City and who I have not see all year, met us here, best 2 hours of my cruise. There is always a rainbow in every place visited.
