Go to the walled city, it is spectacular. The guided tour was terrific. The people will not sell you anything if you say no thank you of no por favor.

Stay was ok very poor country and the begging and hounding by vendors did get old and I was glad to get back on the ship

Really liked what e saw unfortunately we did not get enough time to see much as we docked around 2 p.m. and had to be ready for the Amazing evening at 6 p.m. Hired a taxi to drive us around sightseeing but would have loved to have had an extra day in this port!!

Yes! Closer to the equator therefore MUY CALIENTE!!! It was hot!! But the tour was very informative and the museum and performing dance troupe were a nice addition.

We booked a small group tour of the old and new city. Felt a little rushed but the ship sailed mid-afternoon so not much time to wander. A lot of vendors selling stuff at every corner.

They are very aggressive trying to sell goods to you while on shore excursions. If you don't want chased all over the place do not show ANY interest

Book an excursion or take a taxi to downtown. Excursion might have been better, since we were wondering aimlessly through the town in the heat.
