We did the "Best of Cartagena" tour with BanjoPickR and have to agree with all of his comments. This tour seemed to be aimed at taking tourists to tour company favored vendors. The stop at the "emerald factory" involved a two minute talk about where emeralds came from and the remaining 30 minutes were devoted to try and sell jewelry to us. We did not see anything worth buying on this tour. Also, there is a lot of walking and standing on this tour that was misrepresented on the Celebrity shore excursion web site. My wife stayed on the bus for a good part of the tour.

Went on a tour to see the highlights of Cartagena. Very interesting. Loved the Fort.

too many beggars. Filty city, individuals selling hats, bags, jewelery very, very aggressive and won't take no for an answer.

Went outside ship with "Dora" the Explorer who showed us her beautiful city. The old town is definately worth seeing.

It was very, very hot and we joined another couple in taking a cab to the old city. Very interesting but we might have been better off taking a ship's tour. It was very hot and we really didn't know what to see. Many street people selling aggressively!
