Belize City, Belize Port Reviews

Cruise starts in a few weeks and we are planning our stop in Belize. Has anyone done the "river boat and zoo" excursion? I'm interested but no reviews on Carnivals app.

Belize was on my bucket list. I did enjoy the shopping there. The prices weren't the best, but there was a huge selection. I'd go again to do an excursion. I'd love to see more of the city.

My least favorite port on our recent cruise, as I was looking forward to visiting Belize. No docks, so you’re tendered in after dropping anchor 5 miles off shore. I was major disappointed in the port area, limited food & shopping options compared to Cozumel or Costa Maya. Unless you’re planning an excursion, stay on ship. We did BUTTS UP cave tubing and it was a BLAST!! Awesome excursion, great guides, nice authentic Mexican tamale lunch and relaxing water fun!

Very interesting port. Not as long a tender ride than forecast. Nice shops and dont forget to try their beer, it is great. Their motto is "You gotta belize !!!"

Must go to shark & stingray alley and swim with them. adrenaline rush.

A poor city. We done a city tour and run factory tour. Great tour and the guides were fantastic. The rum is delicious. Learned a lot about Balize City. Having said that, I'd probably have to think about whether or not I'd get off the boat if I went back.

If you are looking at the KuKumba Beach Tour, this is NOT a beach but a Water park! The trip there was about an hour thru the city, the park was packed so ended up in the restaurant until time to leave. Was a waste of money and time! Only reason I gave a 2 was that we felt safe.

Pass on the ATV Rainforest adventure. The ATV's are so loud, that no animal would be anywhere in the vicinity. They are not in good shape, and other than the ride out and the cave, it was a waste. The guide did tell me a about a local eatery called Big Daddy's. The stewed chicken and red beans and rice, with slaw was GREAT!!!

We did not book an excursion this time, which was a mistake; we had done the cave tubing before and would definitely recommend this to others.
