Sunday in this port and most of the shops were closed, with the exception of a couple of stores which all the passengers went to looking for things to buy. It was insane with so many people in a couple of stores that were open as they knew a cruise ship was in and opened their doors.

You have two choices. Do something that gets you out of town or stay on the ship. If there is a rugby match on, that becomes a 3rd option. It was a great experience.

Lautoka we didn’t go into town as the price for shuttle bus was $15 per person . Lovely markets set up in front of shop so we shopped there for our goodies

Great Island

The ship docked far from the town. The port area is not very nice. Some friends took a ship's excursion to snorkel and enjoyed that. Others who toured the parks were not impressed.

Caught the free shuttle bus into main part of city. Interesting. Very cheap shopping.

Took bus tour of town & out to a resort for lunch. Very nice. Lovely beach & swimming pool at resort. Saw horses on the beach.

This is just an industrial port so there's nothing to do here except for rent a car or a van and go and do some excursions
