We booked our excursion through "Shore Excursions" to Tifajek Mud Pools. We had an amazing time and our skin felt so soft after we had finished here. Would definitely do this again.

The ship doctor ordered me to go to the hospital there for testing, then sent me back to be admitted to the hospital. Thank God the hospital doctor is not required to practice defensive medicine on behalf of the ship, and I was given a simple antibiotic and sent on my way. My husband and I spent a couple of days strolling around town experiencing local culture, which seems laid back and unreliable for the most part. The port agents failed to live up to promises and we made our own arrangements to fly to Tonga to reboard the ship. BTW, contrary to what the ship's doctor told me, the hospitals in Fiji do not take credit cards, only cash, in Fiji dollars. That was nearly a disaster.

Had our tour changed from afternoon to morning. We went to the thermal mud pools. It was sooo good. Very welcoming, lovely traditional song and meeting with chief. Unexpected relaxing massage after soaking in the pool. Showers and toilets were not so good though. Either out of order or not working properly. But we all managed. Fresh watermelon and pineapple was delicious. Very friendly people here. Did some local shopping afterwards. Felt a bit unsafe in town. Lots of shady looking people unfortunately.

Grubby, noisy, lots of beggars and I wouldn't get off at this port again.

You should book with Moanatours they were fantastic and cheaper price. While all prices and fees were inclusive. Too good and the guides are so fun and very responsive!
