Confusing to take the train to the peace memorial. Make sure you have your Yen ready to go as there is no money exchange there, except for a bank down the street from the train station.

Cancelled our excursion as it required a lot more walking than we wanted and the shrine we wished to see was covered with scaffolding. Instead took a cab to the Peace Park and very pleasant.

Walked to the train station (took 25 mins) and then got the tram into the centre. Wanted to go to the memorial museum but the queues were massive. Did a fair amount of walking around and went in another castle
