Looking forward to trying different cruiselines to see if my expectations to experience luxury and relaxation without the heavy-handed marketing are unrealistic.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was smooth
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Buffet was adequate; good selection of food.
Dining room was adequate; good staple selections; limited items with a “wow” factor
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
What I like least about Princess (and I’m not sure if this is true for other cruiselines) is that activities are geared toward hype and selling you products; that is why I don’t participate in much.
Entertainment
If you don’t get to the shows early, there are no seats.
Children's Programs
No children.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Excellent service - the waiter, security, reception desk - no complaints.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Ship’s layout was easy. I wish the windows were cleaned. They were dirty from beginning to end.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Cabin was fine in size and comfort; just a little worn. Bed was wonderful. Plumbing backed up once. Shower hot water needed to be turned on by plumber twice.
Ship tip
Spend time on the balcony. Enjoy the ocean view, relax.
