A: There is a lot to do within walking distance of the port. Really nice mall right across the street. Cantina on the same side of the street with a shopping area. You can catch a private or public transport to the Malecon which is a really short trip.... Tons of things to do in PV. Also a relatively new indoor mall right off of the ship.See More

A: We are also self touring. Our plan is to cab to Plaza Hildago, and walk along the Malecon from there. Two churches, the walk of statues, the Naval Museum, and of course all the Malecon shops and restaurants are along the way. We're going to continue... down to Parque Hildago where there are lots of handcrafted mosaic benches. Finally we are doing a tequila tasting and cabbing back to the ship. I figured the walking portion to be about 1.5 miles. It's unfortunate our ship leaves so early, there's lot more that there's just no time for!See More

A: There is definitely stuff to do within short walking distance off the ship. HOWEVER, PV is one of my favorite ports with the best and absolutely breathtaking excursions. If it’s in the cards, I highly recommend an excursion.

A: Based on a recommendation from my guide there, UBER is your best bet. They are inexpensive and you won’t get taken for a ride, which some taxi drivers will do. You know the route and how much it will cost beforehand, no games.

A: take a bus to town and then a taxi back.

A: We just took a taxi from port to Romantic Zone last Tuesday. It was $20 for 2 people. (not sure if that’s just average price?) It would have been more like $14 if we were willing to wait for a van to fill up with other people.... Then we got an Uber back from the Malecon to Walmart, across the street from the cruise port. It was 189 MX, so about $7.50 / $8.00 USD. There were lots of taxi drivers around though. They’ll ask you if you have a ride yet - no problem.See More

A: We did the zip line adventure and had a blast!!! My kids were 20, 17 and 13. It was a longer drive then we expected but it was worth it, then they drop you off downtown to do some shopping if you want.

A: There wasn’t a lot of shopping right in port next to the ship. I had a wonderful massage right at port. You can walk to Playa de Oro- Gold Beach. It’s apparently a 10-15 minute walk. We haven’t done that yet but might next time. I’ve seen on You... Tube how to walk there. There is a mall and Walmart close by across the street.See More

A: There is the shopping area at the port and then just outside and across the street is a mall. There is an excellent area south of the port, maybe a 20 minute taxi ride, called Centro. We went to a chocolate museum there and made chocolates to take ho... me. There was also a beach, shops, and restaurants. very walkable area.See More
