This port is only good if you go on an excursion. A visit to the ruins or just taking a taxi to Merida is a great experience.

The excursion to the ruins was amazing. The port has little to do otherwise. If you’re coming here book an activity.

The people were over persistent on selling things but some were nice the beach was wonderful.

Another port should be considered other than Progreso. Everyone in our group of 14 were less than impressed. A large shopping area at port, but nothing really beyond that.

Not much to do in Progreso except for excursions. Not much shopping however there is some. The excursion I went on was amazing though. The Cenotes were very beautiful and lots of fun.

The port was clean the shops wanted you to spend money but weren’t pushy like Cosmel. Next time we will do more shopping here. Our excursion was wonderful. It was interesting.

Wish there was more to do at the port. We did some shopping, and found a little p;ace for margaritas and nachos, which both were fantastic.
