The key to progresso is to take the free shuttle bus to town. Very clean and great prices on goods.

The port was very small and really nothing to do but you can really get some great deals shopping here not in Cozumel.

We dis not do an excursion but did eat at a fabulous little hole-in-the-wall restaurant that had the best authentic Mexican food and had margaritas 2/ $5 and they were the best I've ever had!

We checked out the Mayan Ruins and a rodeo. This was the least favorite of the two excursions. The ruins were amazing to see the history and what they builders built.

I enjoyed going to Chichen Itza, even though it was a couple hour bus ride to get there. Lots of Mayan ruins and possible to barter for good prices on souvenirs.

Seemed a little sketchy if you went further than the shops right by the port. We shopped and went back to the ship. Not sure I would return to this specific port personally, but others went on excursions and had nothing but good things to say.
