We booked a United Excursion to Chichen Itza which was less than organized. We wasted too much time getting to the ruins and then we had to rush. They also promised us a snack and did not deliver on that either. The folks that went with Carnival seemed to fare better. The ruins were great though.

We did the White City/Gold City tour which is 6 hours long but it was a Great tour. A lot of things to see and do. Enjoyed.

We took an excursion into Izamal which is a lovely city. Part of the excursion included a carriage ride. I was extremely disturbed to find the condition of some of the horses and their obvious state of extreme malnutrition and poor harnessing gear which is also abrasive to the horse during a ride. It is imperitive that steps be taken to help the people that are contracted for these excursions to feed and care for their animals properly. It was shameful.
