Visited here for a week in 2001. Had a great time in the Booze Cruise. However, it was mush like being back in Los Angeles. I had to walk the street to find culture. The beach was nice though. My hotel had a nice lake in back. It rained one day. I went during East Coast Spring Break and got caught up in that. I was 32 at the time and no one suspected I was the older one among them college students! I had fun, but bit was touristy at times. I had a nice big room to myself! It was no suite though.

This stop was eliminated in 2005 but we did not find out until we boarded the ship. I can't understand why port fees were charged when there was no intention to stop in Cancun.

Cancun was the reason we booked the cruise since we were celebrating our 25th year anniversary. However, NCL cancelled cancelled Cancun 2 days before our departure date citing `Wilma hurricane damage'. We were offered 2 options 1) Refund of 12.95 per person (port tax) 2) Full refund with 24 hour notice. We already had purchased non-refundable airline tickets so we decided to take the cruise. We feel that NCL knew about the port closure when they took the booking but didn't say anything
