Calica, Mexico Port Reviews

I think this port was much better than Cozumel. The information the ship gave was misleading as to what each port has to offer.

Went to the Mayan ruins of Tulum. It was awesome!! Felt like you were on a movie set. Couldnt believe my eyes!! Would definately recommend it.

we went to the town about 5 miles away, to the beach and shopping, I was not overly impressed with having to catch a cab to get anywhere but it was nice once we got to the beach

There were a variety of excursions one took take. I shopped in town and then took an ATV trip into the forest where we swam in an underground river, saw some Mayan ruins and ventured into a cave. It was alot of fun and not too expensive. I felt that some of the other excursions were kind of spendy. Taxi service, into the downtown area, was extremely expensive.

We went to the town in the afternoon and had a great time. The ship info led us to beleive there was nothing there, but we had a fun afternoon. The morning was spent snorkeling. Bahamas and Keys were so much more colorful than Calica

we enjoyed the carvern excursion. we also shopped in playa del carmen. it was nice that we got to see some authentic Mexican crafts on the side streets. Everything else was commerialized
