One of our favorites because it’s quiet and very beautiful.

Helicopter ride is a must to see this entire island. Expensive but worth it.

Small port makes it easy to get off and back on the ship. Close to the airport to grab a rental car or many free shopping shuttles. Do yourself a favour and head up to the top end of the island, it is a beautiful place.

We went to Waimea Canyon and Grotto Fern. Because of the rain and cloudys we couldn't see the canyon colors. We enjoyed the Grotto Fern grove. It started raining so they had the Hawaiian music and dancing on the boat.

This, in our opinion, was the nicest port as it has easy access to everything and rental car shuttle service. It also is one of the most, if not, the most beautiful Hawaiian islands.

We rented a car for the day and a half we were in Kauai. Our first day, we drove up to Waimea Canyon while stopping at the various locations in the park. There is a $5 parking fee that will cover you at each of the parks assorted lots. We were lucky as we got there pretty early (around 10:00) and beat the big tour buses and crowds. Make sure you drive to Kalalau Lookout for one of the most spectacular views you will ever see. It is only about 20-minutes from the main parking lot area via car. Since we had plenty of time on our 1st day, we googled beaches on Kauai and chose to drive up to Polihale State Park. Just FYI - I suggest only going here if you have a jeep or some other type of larger vehicle. We, however, had a Hyundai Elantra, and had no idea what was in store for the teeth-chattering drive (about 20-minutes) over a rutted, pot-holed gravel road, that brought us to one ofthe most beautiful and secluded beaches you will ever see. Once you arrive, the sand to get to the beach is "VERY HOT" so make sure you have proper footwear. Our 2nd day, we drove up the north shore area to Princeville and viewed the sites and did some shopping.

Got to swim with a sea turtle. Would highly recommend the beach snorkel tour with Aloha KAUAI tours. (Booked from on board the ship) Felt very safe under their care. Docking port so easy to disembark from ship but you do need a shuttle bus to get anyway.

Beautiful, lush, green everywhere! We went to the huge canyon on this island, not as large as the grand canyon, but impressive still. Another great tour guide with lots of information and history.
