Went to the Kauai Railway Plantation and enjoyed the train ride and feeding the animals. Note: mosquito spray needed—expensive in the gift shop so plan ahead! Great souvenir shops here.

Cruising along the Na Pali Coast was unforgettable. We were able to see it from the airplane during our AirVentures tour and also from the cruise ship.

Must do: helicopter tour! Also best luau is smith family luau! Kauai is called the garden isle. It’s beautuful.

Once you are docked you are just a short walk to the beach or you can rent a car and easily see the island in a day. It's the garden isle for a reason.

Rented a car from the airport and did a self GPS guided tour; Gypsy Kauai - $8 but sooo worth it. Everything is close by, the GPS informed us of local delicacies (malasadas are a must to try, anything on Rice Street really) and cool sights worth seeing (the waterfalls!). Favourite island by far! :)

Although we did not take an excursion on Kauai, we had a wonderful day! We took the shuttle to Kalapaki beach and spent a fabulous day swimming and sunning. Then did some shopping in the little town. Really relaxing and fun!
