we rented a car and toured the island ourself. was the best thing to do . we had another couple with us . The cost only 75.00 for the day .

Beautiful island with lots of shopping immediately outside the port. We rented a car in Maui also and drove around the perimeter of the island, lots of lush landscape to see.

No independent tour agents were allowed on the docks. I think some of the local taxi drivers were talking deals but they only had minivans available so the prices turned most people off. We didn't get to see anything except the shopping area near the docks.
