We were disappointed that there was rain and ash from the volcano which obscured our view of the island. Not allot to see.

The zodiac snorkel tour. The waters were great and the reef was a must see.

We took the trip by land and by sea. Kona is a very unspoiled Island and we found it very nice.

Cute place. We just took the free bus down to one of the beaches and had a nice little snorkeling place, turtles and all.

Great city, no need to rent a car here, the entire city surrounds the port. A lot of things to do and see within a close distance to the ship. We loved the Kona Canoe Club for lunch.

THIS is the port that meets your expectations of Hawai'i. It's low-key and very relaxing overall. The prices are very reasonable compared to all other ports! DO NOT MISS the Hawaiian shaved ice place off the main street (called "Scandinavian Shaved Ice" but...). We got a fabulous batch for less than 1/4 of any other port prices and a huge portion!

A mostly touristy town and somewhat of a waste of your day although we had a nice lunch at the "Kona-brewing Company".
