Driving the other side of this island, towards the North Shore will show you the beauty of this island. In comparison, Waikiki is a waste of time. Don't go to a restaurant; go to Ala Moana shopping Center food court and eat like the locals.

We spent two days here when we were only suppose to spend one because they closed the port due to rough seas and wind conditions
