Fanny Island was a waste of time. We lost four days just to get there.We could have seen other parts of Hawai during those four days.

The Kilauea Volcano in the National Volcano Park was terrific. And the Botanical Garden was breathtaking.

Volcanoes National Park Odyssey certainly worthwhile, but if you're overloaded with excursions, the Haleakala Crater in Maui is more spectacular but not as "hands on".

seeing live flowing lava was GREAT!! there were a few injuries however; it is a difficult hike over uneven lava rocks. And you must stay up to see the ship pass the volcano at night...it was awesome.
