I'd skip Vigo....Not an interesting port...mainly a cargo port, but has a good upscale area for shopping

Excellent excursion (Santiago Compestella). Never heard of Vigo before this trip.

Beautiful place. Our 90 minute each way bus trip gave us a good overview of the city and Countryside. We stopped at a beautiful seaside hotel and were served local wine and tapas. A truly memorable stop. Keep this venue. The hotel people, as well as our guide were excellent.

It was a lovely place, but if you decide to go to the castle on the hill, do not walk unless you are super fit. My advice would be to taxi to the top and have a look around and take pics of the view. Then walk back into the city as it is all downhill. Some nice shops and lovely stalls selling the touristy stuff.
