Not easy to get from the water taxi to the hotel with luggage was the only complaint. We went in two days early to see Venice.

Look for restaurantes outside the main streets. They are amazing and cheaper. Stay here at least 2 nights before the cruise.

Book a gondola ride, go to the opera, and have dinner. Venice is expensive so careful not to blow the bank here.

Communication about transportation could have been better, but the time off the ship was the best part of our trip. Port issues were horrible.
