Spend a day pre- or post-cruise in Venice. Stay at the Santa Chiara hotel, which is VERY convenient to the ship, public transport, and walking around Venice. A vaporetto stop practically right outside the hotel!

Need to learn the water taxi docks vis a vis your hotel. Private water taxi is very very expensive.

We thoroughly enjoyed Venice. We stayed the day before and after here. We stayed at the Hilton garden inn. Great price and conveniently located on a bus line.
