Our favorite port. Definitely all the charm we expected to see. The food, gondola ride, water taxis, St. Marks, Rialto Bridge, beautiful shops... and even the pigeons. Oh, the pigeons! But what a charming city. Loved getting up early to watch us come in to port. The dozens of spires and domes on churches, many clock and bell towers, bridges... so picturesque... Loved this place!

Loved Venice. We arrived 3 days prior to sailing and spent lots of time exploring Venice and surrounding area.

Watch out for scam artists outside the train station. It's a very long walk to get to the port, and people with carts will grab your bags and start running off to the so- called 'people- mover' that takes you part of the way. Then they want 10 euros per bag.

We stayed at a small hotel - Hotel Antiche Figure in a quieter (Santa Croce) section of Venice. The hotel location and staff were superb! Buffet breakfast outside on their waterfront terrace was so scenic. Water taxis drop off/pick up right at the door and gondolas are right outside the hotel doors as well. We recommend an evening gondola ride when the canals are peaceful.

Second time from Venice. As awesome as the first time. Will be sad when the city will disallow cruise ships to sail passed the city. Actually did not get lost this time walking the city street labyrinth. Transportation to and from the port is easy. Used a cab from the airport but a water taxi to the airport. Public transportation water taxi was 15 Euros/person one way.

mostly what you will do here is shop and eat. Buy the $20 all day boat ticket and keep watching for a seat outside in the front of the boat. You will have a great ride and get amazing pictures.

It’s Venice! What else can you say? Lots to walk around and explore. Lots of rich history.

We stayed for two nights after the cruise and loved it. We did a food/wine tour and also toured the city and the Doge Palace. It was everything I imagined Venice would be and even more beautiful than I thought.

We stayed in Venice 2 days after the cruise ended to explore the city. It's massively crowded, but there are still some lovely things to see and do.
