if you are staying after Port make sure your hotel has water access for water taxi or get one if the wonderful porters from ferry to hotel its worth the Euro.

I have no doubt that Venice as a destination is wonderful as we have been here before but on this occasion I can only describe our embarkation there and the lack of direction by the port staff as horrendous
