We stayed in an Airbnb apartment for three days prior to boarding. Explored Venice as much as we could given the time limit. Absolutely beautifull city but WAY TO CROWDED

Absolutely fell in love with this city and can't wait to go back. Lovely vibe, chilled and so much to see. I could get lost walking round them shops without a care in the world. Canal water taxi, gondola, train station all easily accessible and make the exploring across the grand canal such a pleasant experience. If ever cruise from this port in the future we will make sure we add a few days either side into our itenary. We stayed in Mestre a simple 10 minute train journey away!

Again, get off the ship as early as possible and go to Piazza Roma. Take the #1 vaparetto up the Grand Canal to Piazza San Marco then work your way slowly back towards the ship. You will be going in the opposite direction from all of the tourists and be able to enjoy Venice without all of the crowds.
