Valencia was huge and pretty, both modern and old, I took a tour around the city with a guide and learned a lot about its history.

The downtown area is great, beautiful buildings, parks, fountains, etc. The trip to El Saler Beach is not too great, the sand is full of pebbles and the beach is just below the port so it has an industrial look about it.

Valencia was impressive. We took the shore excursion which was interesting. This part of Spain was very clean and modern.

Did an excursion, but don't remember which one. I recommend purchasing excursions in advance, but double checking at the excursion desk for details before you commit. There they will have more specifics about drive times and will set proper expectations. You are not committed to the excursion you purchase in advance and don't need to pay until after you take the excursion.

Took a shuttle bus to the old city and enjoyed taking pics of the fountains, city gate, churches and other monuments.

We took the shuttle bus from the port to the downtown area. Nice areas to walk around but we got stuck in a downpour. . Enjoyed some local food at the Mercato Central.
