We’re told shuttle bus was only way to get into port and at £12.50 per person would have cost us £50 to visit so did not get off boat that day. Felt cheated to be honest when shuttles £5 everywhere else.

Walked the length of the river park (river bed made into a park) down to the City of Arts and sciences. It’s the third largest city in Spain, so maybe good to take an excursion, as confusing downtown, but the river park was fun and the Arts and Sciences spectacular!

Arrived at 1pm. As we haven't visited here before, shared a taxi into the centre with another couple, and then went exploring. Fabulous city, well worth a visit. Got the local bus back to the port (number 4) and then walked the rest of way, but don't do this if you are under pressure of time...

Don't miss the city center by foot and also the City of Arts, with all those modern buildings of Architect Santiago Calatrava........ and of course, EAT SOME PAELLA there! THE BEST in Spain.
