This was our fourth stop on this tour using the hop on hop off bus tours, as I kept the receipts from the 3 previous, we got this one free! We got off outside the city walls beside the nevsky church & walked through there to the centre of the old town. It is a stunning area. A lot of the shops are aimed at tourists, but they are interesting to see. Again this is another city that I would love to return to and explore some more.

What a charming place. We walked around the Old Town. A lot of things to see here. Beautiful cathedrals, old small street, parks - but when you are from Denmark (as we are), you need to go see The Danish King Garden, where our flag originated from, beautiful. Tallinn is a great place! We would recommend this city, and would like to back there some time.

We walked to old town and spent the day on our own using the Rick Steve's guide and exploring the shops and sights- easy port to do on your own.

Our most favorite stop. We did not do an excursion but went into town to explore. We happened upon a free (just the cost of a tip at the end) 2 hour tour given by a local guide outside of the tourist office. Best tour I think I had ever been on. Tallinn is terrific

We walked to Old Town off the ship. A safe, easy 10 minute walk. Save the bus shuttle money and walk. Old Town is a very neat place to visit!

We took the port shuttle to the drop off point near Old Town. A bit confused early because no signage as to which direction to get there as our view was blocked by a large building. We opted for the bike taxi which gave us a knowledgeable overview of the area. A very classic middle ages city that is well preserved, but as others have pointed out much is now geared for we tourist. Still an enjoyable visit.

What an incredible place! Loved, loved, loved Tallinn. A stunning, medieval walled city with little cobbled streets that take you everywhere, but don't worry it's not a huge place so you can't really get lost. It's a very short walk (less than 15 minutes) from where the ship docks but my advice would be to get off early and go explore before everyone the streets become more crowded. Lots of places to eat, drink and shop and it is really inexpensive if you fancy a spot of lunch or a drink. Would definitely go back here for a longer stay.

Rain during day in port diminished the enjoyment. However, I have visited Tallinn before and it is a wonderful port to wander around in. Tour is normally a waste of time for those who enjoy the pleasure of discovering on your own!
