Review summary
I booked this ship because I have always enjoyed Princess ships. The Regal however, was not as enjoyable. Entire ship appeared to be choppy with small rooms, small casino, small shops, etc. Crowne Grill was horrible. Some of the seating is on cushioned sofas along the wall. You sit so low in them that your face is almost in your plate. Also, the Crowne is open to the bar -- you can watch people walk between venues and listen to the loud laughter in the bar! Public toilets on the ship are few and far between and are well hidden - we always had to ask a crew member for directions to the closest facility. Our cabin B401 was a mini-suite that was smaller than Balcony cabins on other ships. Room was not very clean - lots of hair in the drawers and bath tub. The bath tub drain was full of black gunk! Along with that, we had to endure a sewer smell in the toilet that prevailed throughout the cruise. The majority of the crew seemed to be marking time until their next break. The ship carries so many passengers that the crew probably is overworked to the point of not caring to provide good service. In the future, I will stick with the smaller Princess Ships!Embarkation
