Berlin was very interesting. The day was extremely long because of transportation issues.

The walking excursion we discussed taking in Rostock sold out way before the cruise. So we played it by ear. The ship docked at the port closer to town and offered a shuttle into town. It was Sunday and ALL the stores were closed. We toured the old Church and wandered around the plaza. After lunch at an outdoor cafe. We decided on a trip to the zoo. The tourist information office sold us tram tickets and we took the tram to the zoo. It’s a very big zoo and we made the most of our time with the animals. It was a pleasant day.

- We went golfing at Henkel & Lares in Warnemunde and the course was awesome. Great club rentals and everything German perfection. - Cruise port is actually in Warnemunde that is a cute town and had ocean frontage plus nude beaches! - Rostock is 30 mins away and a waste from what people say. - Berlin is a 2.5 hours train ride each way and for me is way to long. - We took public trans (bus) to place and had a small walk. You can get day passes for cheap. - Hit town after golf and loved it. Not sure a full day spot but it was cool. Had VB courts and interesting sights but small town ocean city shopping/eating feel.

We went to Berlin on a tour. I heard that Rostock was very disappointing so if you don't go out to Berlin or on an excursion. It is not worth the trouble.

Was part of history so we did cover one concentration camp and the city of Berlin on our excursion. Glad we went and want to say how great our guides were as well as our lunch & snacks. Celebrity also did a great job with the Oceanview Buffet upon our return to the ship!

Rostock itself is not a tourist town. We took a tour to Wismar. It was interesting, but was not something we would recommend. Except for the visit to the brewery. It has been in (and out) of production since the 1600s. The history was great and the beer tasting was fun!

Said we were docking at a resort and a little town. We ended up in a Commercial port and had to pay $20 to get to town.

Unfortunately, it was beastly hot and humid and air conditioning was non-existant in the touring coaches and buildings. The sights were interesting, but difficult to enjoy due to the heat.
