OMG! This place is on our planet!? we did a two hour private cab tour up to the top of the mountain...probably my favorite port.

We used Viator since the ship excursions were already booked. We did tour of Volcanos. Carla was a great tour guide speaking excellent English. She also was an excellent driver. Had about 6 stops. She took photos of us and provided much great information. Would definitely recommend. Was a wonderful day that went by fast.

Because of impending bad weather we did not visit the Azores, but instead had a substitute stop in Funchal, Madeira. I always enjoy good surprises when traveling and Funchal was new to me (I had been to Ponta Delgado on an earlier cruise in 2009). Lovely weather and beautiful gardens. Enjoyed reasonably priced lunch in central city.

this is a Nice island to visit. the people are nice, and pineapple farm was cool. The scenic drive to crater lakes was nice also, decent tour for the money.
