By the time you get to Palma, the itinerary will have you worn out, but you don't get there until 1:00 pm so you can sleep in. Beautiful city, but like Cannes, not a whole lot there. The castle is worth seeing.

This was our first stop and we took a bus in to the main town square and toured the cathedral. It's a small little shopping area, but beautiful architecture and a taste of what's to come. Possibly some of the excursions were more interesting.

The island is set up nicely for cruise landings. We did a great excursion that drove across the island and visited the Caves of Hams, very nice to see and a good change of pace from some of the other things that we did. I really liked Mallorca and would love to go back.

Our first time and definitely not our last. Fell in love with Valldemossa. A beautiful, quiet town in the mountains. The shore excursion to the monastery was very interesting, and the Chopin mini concert was beautiful. This was a wonderful change from the rest of the busy, more crowded locations we visited.

Palma was a beautiful location and we looked forward to the excursion. My husband stayed behind this time because trying to keep us was too difficult for him. But this tour leader's accent was so thick that other members of the tour were trying to help each other understand what she was saying. We did NOT have listening devices, either. And she gave no regard to who was on the tour and whether or not she had her group together before moving on. My daughter and grandson got lost in the cathedral and were it not for our walkie talkies, we would have lost them. Another group of ladies were also left behind and we had to shout to the tour leader to stop and wait for them to catch up. It was a very poor experience and I feel as if this was a waste of our money. I have since gone on to You Tube to understand where I was and what I saw.

We did another ship's excursion in Palma, which consisted of a tour of the fortress and then a tour of the Macia Batle winery. The fortress wasn't opened, so we just wandered around the outside. The winery tour was excellent, and their wine was quite good. It was a good tour.
