Review summary

This is our second time on this cruise, since we loved it so much the first time. It's a great way to travel with a teen, as they can keep busy, meet new friends and have a great time, while seeing the highlights of the ports we visit. We are always sad to leave the ship. RCC makes it very easy to have a vacation that can be whatever you want it to be. Thank you, RCC!

Embarkation

Very easy and pretty well organized.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We absolutely loved the Solarium Bistro. Our waiter, Bacem, was fantastic! We ate there 6 nights of the 7. We did eat once in the American Grill and were very disappointed. Cold food, poor service, very crowded, very loud and very disorganized -so we never went back.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
A terrific choice of things to do. We loved that there were quiet corners where you could really relax.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The High Seas orchestra was terrific and the tribute to EWF and Tower of Power in Dazzles was excellent! They should have more gigs on a nightly basis. The ice show was well done, as was the musical show. The AquaNation show was our favorite. Absolutely excellent!

Children's Programs

The teen club was a great way for our daughter to meet new friends and have a blast on the cruise. She was busy every night and had a great time!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Erica, our room steward was terrific, so helpful and kind. Bacem, the waiter in Solarium Bistro was our favorite! We looked forward to seeing him each evening. Everyone was helpful and friendly.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Blew us away! An incredible feat of creativity, beauty and logistics. Well done RCC!

Cabin / Stateroom

Loved the oversize balcony, and the room was a nice size for 3 of us. We never felt cramped. Very clean and comfortable. Erica did a great job!

Ship tip

Do your homework and find the little quiet places on the ship that are peaceful and relaxing. Don't try and do everything - it's impossible! Eat the pizza at Sorrento's-it's really great!

Ports of call

Barcelona, Spain

5 out of 5
Barcelona has so much history and culture, and great restaurants. Everyone was very friendly and it is a reasonably priced city to explore. Gaudi's architecture is brilliant!

Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands

Our first time and definitely not our last. Fell in love with Valldemossa. A beautiful, quiet town in the mountains. The shore excursion to the monastery was very interesting, and the Chopin mini concert was beautiful. This was a wonderful change from the rest of the busy, more crowded locations we visited.

Marseille (Provence), France

5 out of 5
We went into Aix in Provence and walked around on our own. It's a beautiful city to explore on foot, with lovely shops and restaurants. Markets and shops around every little corner.

La Spezia, Italy

5 out of 5
We took the shore excursion to Rapallo, Sta. Margerhita and Portofino and are so glad we did. Much to see, very beautiful and the boat ride to Portofino was a nice way to find a cool breeze! We went to Florence last time and it was too long a ride, too crowded and too frantic to try and see anything since it was overrun with tourists.

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy Did not visit port

Did it before and It's too far a drive to Rome, and too crowded in Rome to see anything once we got there. We stayed on the boat and enjoyed a relaxing day.

Naples, Italy

5 out of 5
We go straight to Capri and then straight to Anacapri, once we take the on your own boat ride excursion. This is one of the most beautiful islands in the world when you see it from Anacapri. The lemon trees, the smell of flowers, the warmth of the people and the beautiful ceramics and artwork available. And the food! No place better anywhere.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very organized and quick. No issues, just too early in the morning!
